Not ready

I don't think I'm ready for a high school teenager.  Besides feeling completely OLD, I don't like this new social aspect of the high school experience.  You see, Dylan made the JV soccer team...which means that he has practice every night...and then the team got together to watch some soccer game on TV.  Which means...I'm at home. By myself. Alone.

And I don't like it.

And I need to find a hobby because I've literally sat here and played solitaire for an hour and a half.

Yep..an hour and a half.

Granted I watched Pretty Little Liars on the big TV...and now I'm watching Everybody Loves Raymond...

But other than the TV, it's way too quiet in my house.

It makes me sad.

The funny thing is...I was worried that he wouldn't have friends.  Not because he's unlikable or unfriendly or the kind of kid who wouldn't make friends.  He just tends to shy away from situations and opportunities to do things because he doesn't know anyone.

Evidently, I needn't have worried.

Hopefully he will be back home soon.

What in the world will I do when he goes to college?

:)

I hear you girl. He will have so much fun though and in turn, so will you. xoxo

Aww, you've done your job perfectly if he's got the confidence to make new friends and be so outgoing! Job well done to you. :)

Too bad you don't live in Texas, you could hang out with me instead of playing solitaire! : ) You'll be fine! God will provide something for you!!

Your son will still need you, so be ready when he does. In the meantime, make a list of things you wanted to do but couldn't while he was growing up and then start crossing them off! Just an idea, come try Dance Trance with me at the Gold's off Reynolda, soooo much fun!
